Lamp Light What flood lamp light bulb wattage is my max when more than 1 is listed on the warning label?
I know I cannot exceed the max wattage on the warning label but I cannot tell which is the max for the label on my ceiling built-in flood lamp. The label says: "60W.A (followed by a standard lightbulb symbol); 90W.PAR 38, 100W.R40 (followed by a flood lamp bulb symbol) MAX.
100W.R40, if you are using a R40 bulb.
60W A if you are using an A (standard) bulb.
Thus, 90W PAR 38 for a PAR 38 style bulb.
They list different ones for different kinds of bulbs. The R40 bulbs have thicker glass than a regular one, so they are safer for bigger wattages.
You could also use a high wattage equivalent compact fluorescent.
how best can I use floor lamps to light living room and bedroom with no ceiling lamp?
I am moving into an older apartment and there are no ceiling lamps in the bedroom and living room. I bought a floor lamp from Walmart and 75W 'daylight' energy saving bulb from Home Depot. I find the lighting dull and not good enough to read with-I'm a student. This is really bothering me, how best can I light the rooms using lamps and have adequate light in them? I want them well illuminated and don't want to ruin my eyes either.
I had the same problem with lighting.
I ended up putting a big floor lamp in one corner and little lamps in the other corners on my dresser and night table.
buy lava lamp Is there such thing as a Lava Strobe Lamp? If so, where could you buy it?
Is there such thing as a Lava Strobe Lamp? If so, where could you buy it? If it doesn't exist, do you think it's a good idea? Is it even possible to make one?
Yeah, I think it's a very good idea. Although, I've never seen it anywhere. you could make one pretty easily. You need to find a small strobe light. Then get a lava lamp with a wide base. You need to then find a way to fit both the strobe lamp and the lava lamp within the base. The original lamp for the lava lamp will melt the wax, and the strobe will provide the light. You can't just have one lamp.
