lava lamp parts I have a glass lava lamp part and i dont have the heater lamp part what can i use as a substitute?

Sorry, but there isn't any substitute, it's a specialized part, made to get to the right temperature, at the right speed. Too hot and they'll explode. Check a pawn shop, they almost always seem to have them for cheap.
lava lamp parts If someone is into the psychedelic/hippie thing but doesn't do drugs, are they a poseur?
By "psychedelic/hippie thing" I mean being extremely interested in psychedelic music, lava lamps and psychedelic posters/art, psychedelic/hippie clothes, etc.
I strongly believe that if a person is into this whole thing, but doesn't do drugs, he/she is a poseur. An enormous portion of this culture is based on psychedelic drugs (and to a lesser degree, weed). It seems stupid to consider yourself part of it without a minimum of smoking weed. There are so many things that you can't understand about the culture until you've done these drugs. Also, it is completely against the laid-back hippie lifestyle to buy into all that anti-drug propaganda and abstain from them. It is well-known that weed is practically harmless and that the greatest risk with psychedelic drugs is having an unpleasant experience while on them.
If you disagree with me, I want a good argument backing up your opinion.
